New Zealand Eye on the Landscape is a new book of high-quality landscape photography aimed at the top end of the New Zealand pictorial book market. The distinguishing feature of this book is that the images used will not be the work of one photographer,but rather a collection of the best images from a wide range of landscape photographers. The inspiration for this concept has been the extraordinary work that is exhibited by members of the Photographic Society of New Zealand, the umbrella organisation for a wide range of photographic groups. The book will follow a standard format, with a focus on all of the main areas visited by tourists. The selection will be undertaken by publisher Robbie Burton and photographer Craig Potton, one of the most experienced photoediting partnerships in the New Zealand publishing industry. I was disappointed with this little and very expensive book. I wish I had bought at least one of the higher quality pictorial books about New Zealand while I was there in November 2014. I intended to send this one back, but never got around it. Book descriptions should provide measurements of the books. This book is 5.25" x 7.25" and that is just too small. I had to get my magnifying glass out to really LOOK at some of the photos in it. I order a lot of books from AMAZON. I received a letter from the company working for/with AMAZON that said, "Recently, you purchased with item from us, via the Amazon Marketplace:1 X New Zealand: Eye On The Landscape

I answered Beth's letter, but unfortunately, my dissatisfaction was not of interest, because no one ever wrote back to me. Unless someone likes a little book on their coffee table, I would not recommend buying this book. If you do buy it, buy a good magnifying glass as a companion piece.

Beautiful images. Really a great preview of what to expect when you visit New Zealand
